TT Games have long been the go-to studio for the many LEGO video game adaptations released over the years, and this seems to not be changing anytime soon. That said, while the studio was reportedly working on a big Disney-focused title, the project has since been shelved, with TT Games now developing another LEGO Batman.
Last year gaming site Fanbyte released a report claiming that TT Games were struggling with a number of internal issues, to which a collection of employees then offered additional details including the fact that the team were at one point working on a major LEGO Disney title to celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary. This has seemingly since been scrapped, with sources now claiming that:
“Lego Disney is in the trash, cancelled last year. Mainly because it was a shit show, but partially because Dreamlight Valley did a lot of the things it was trying to do, better.”
The source continued, “It's now Mandalorian DLC for [LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga], and another LEGO Batman game because I'm sure there's someone out there that isn't utterly sick of Batman by now. That's 4 quietly cancelled internal projects by Tt now, in the last 3 years.”
You can clearly see the frustration felt by the source regarding TT Games and the mismanagement which seems to be going on. While some will undoubtedly be excited by the prospect of a new LEGO Batman, it is a shame that so many other projects did not make it to the finish line.
