Kingdom Come: Deliverance hits 5.5 million sales milestone, game gets new VO languages

Kingdom Come: Deliverance holds a special place in many people’s hearts due to its in-depth and hardcore RPG mechanics – leading to a unique experience when compared to other similar titles in the genre. Released in 2018, the game is currently celebrating its 5th anniversary. As part of this it was revealed that Kingdom Come: Deliverance has officially sold over 5.5 million copies.

Warhorse Studios – the team behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance – took to Twitter to celebrate the RPG’s 5th anniversary, saying “Today marks the 5th birthday of #KingdomComeDeliverance. What a ride it has been. A ride that would be impossible without our backers and the most loyal community.”

In a surprise move, the team also released a stealth update to the PC version of the game, adding both Czech and Japanese voice-overs. That is not all however, as on the game’s 5th anniversary it has been revealed that Kingdom Come: Deliverance has sold over 5.5 million copies – an impressive feat considering the game’s relatively niche mechanics.

With a Nintendo Switch port currently in development, it will be interesting to see just how much more the game is set to grow (though it will equally be interesting to see how the game looks and runs on Switch).
