Samsung has released its first flat mini-LED gaming monitor, the Odyssey Neo G7 (Model name: G70NC). Previous Samsung Mini-LED monitors have been curved, but now there is finally an option for those who prefer flat displays.
The new Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 monitor packs a 43-inch Quantum Mini-LED VA panel with 144hz refresh rate, 1ms MPRT, and 4K resolution. Typical brightness sits at 400nits, but the VESA Display HDR600 certification suggests it should peak at 600nits. With a 10-bit colour depth and a 4250:1 contrast ratio, the monitor can cover 95% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.
Like most modern monitors, it features flicker-free technology, eye-saver mode, and multiple colour presets. It also supports FreeSync Premium Pro for tear-free gaming, and Smart TV apps and Samsung Gaming Hub (via Tizen) to install and use your favourite apps without needing a PC. Additionally, it features Ultrawide Game View, which allows you to adjust the size of the screen between 20 and 43 inches with an aspect ratio ranging from 16:9 to 21:9. Lastly, there's Game Bar, Samsung's OSD that includes overlay features such as virtual aim point and FPS counter.
The monitor comes calibrated out-of-the-box and features two 20W speakers. For connectivity, there's a DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB-A 3.0 interfaces, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an Ethernet port, and support for Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 5 (including Wireless Display). The included stand is limited to tilting, but you can replace it with a monitor arm compatible with the VESA 200×200 standard. The Odyssey Neo G7 will be available worldwide starting Q1 2023, with launch dates differing by location.

KitGuru says: Overall, the new Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 looks like a solid high-end monitor. However, that means it probably won't come in cheap.
