TMNT’s Shredder is coming to Call of Duty

The past couple years have seen the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles experience a resurgence with the release of a classic games compilation in the form of The Cowabunga Collection as well as a brand new entry – that being TMNT Shredder’s Revenge. Speaking of Shredder, the iconic villain is set to collab with Call of Duty as a new crossover skin has been announced.

Making the announcement on Twitter, the official Call of Duty page teased this crossover, saying “A new evil will rise,” releasing a short clip which reveals that the ‘Evil’ in question is none other than the arch nemesis of the TMNT: Shredder.

The short 15-second clip concluded with the skin’s release date, that being the 21st of March – just two weeks from now. Call of Duty’s crossover skins have been hit-or-miss in the past, with the previous Attack on Titan skins released being quite hilariously bad.

Fortunately, the team seems to be learning as what we have seen of the Shredder skin so far looks authentic to the source material while also (hopefully) not being too distracting in-game.

No price has been given for the skin, but based on the previous crossovers don’t expect it to be cheap. That said, for fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the addition of Shredder is undoubtedly exciting. It will be interesting to see whether the turtles themselves eventually end up being added to the game.
