Ubisoft teases ‘strong line-up’ for E3 this year

While it has been reported that big names like Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft will skip E3 this year, we've been unsure on the status of other publishers, like Ubisoft, Square Enix, Capcom and others. Ubisoft has now confirmed where it stands on E3 this year.

Speaking with GamesIndustry.biz, an Ubisoft spokesperson confirmed that the publisher will be participating in E3 this year: “E3 is a special moment for our industry and we are excited to showcase our strong line-up in Los Angeles in June.”

Ubisoft is still ‘finalising' its plans for June, but we already have a good idea of what to expect. For starters, Assassin's Creed Mirage is coming out this year and is a prime candidate for a showcase like this. Barring any delays, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora should also be releasing this year and would likely be a big part of Ubisoft's showcase this year.

Ubisoft also recently revealed that it is working on The Crew Motorfest, and given that the game has been delayed again, we might just see Skull & Bones at E3 once again. If development is finally back on track for the Prince of Persia Remake, then perhaps we'll see that too.

KitGuru Says: Ubisoft has had a rough couple of years and the company's sales have begun to slow. With that in mind, it needs to have a good showing at E3 this year.
