The Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family plan is slowly rolling out to additional countries. Up to recently, the plan was only available in Ireland and Colombia, limiting its benefits to a small population of users. Fortunately, things are changing, as Microsoft has expanded availability to six more countries.
From now on, the Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family plan will be available in New Zealand, South Africa, Chile, Hungary, Israel and Sweden, in addition to Ireland and Colombia. As such, those living in one of these countries can now gather up to five friends and benefit from a cheaper monthly Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
Compared to the monthly $14.99/£10.99 for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, the Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family plan offers the same perks and benefits for a fraction of the cost. However, that's assuming you can at least get another friend to split the plan with. With two members on the plan, the price reduces to $12.50/£9.16 per month, but with five members in the group, you can get an Xbox Game Pass subscription for just $5/£3.66 a month.
With this plan, users get the equivalent of an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, meaning they also get access to Xbox Live Gold, the entire Game Pass library on Xbox and PC, EA Play's basic tier, perks and discounts.

KitGuru says: The rollout here is slow but the Friends and Family plan should eventually become available in all Game Pass supported regions.
