Redfall will have full crossplay between PC platforms and Xbox

For the most part, Xbox's first-party titles have included crossplay when released for both Xbox and PC. However, with Bethesda's various studio being relatively new to Xbox, we've been wondering if future Bethesda multiplayer games would include it. Things are off to a good start in that regard, as Arkane has now confirmed crossplay for Redfall.

Redfall is launching in May for Xbox Series X/S and PC, with the PC version being available through Game Pass, Steam and the Epic Games Store. As far as crossplay goes, you should be able to team up with anyone playing through any of those platforms. With that in mind, if you have one friend who owns the game on Xbox, one who owns it on Steam and one who downloaded it through Game Pass, you will all be able to play together without issue.

This hasn't always been the case, with some crossplay games only offering crossplay between console and one PC platform. Fortunately we won't be running into that problem with Redfall.

Redfall is a co-op focused game that can be played solo, but it is primarily designed around having up to four players. The game is set in the fictional town of Redfall, which has become overrun with vampires. In an open world setting, you and up to three other players will travel around completing quests and taking down vampire leaders along the way to take back control of the town.

Redfall will release for PC and Xbox Series X/S on the 2nd of May.
