Forza Horizon 5 gets DLSS 3 upgrade today

At GDC last week, Nvidia made a number of DLSS-related announcements, confirming popular releases set to get a DLSS upgrade, and upcoming games that will be launching with the technology in place. Today, Forza Horizon 5 will officially get DLSS 3, combining the visual benefits of DLSS 2 with new Frame Generation technology to further boost frame rates.

Forza Horizon 5 initially launched back in November 2021 and continues to be one of the most popular open-world racers today. The game received DLSS 2 support in late 2022 and as of today, it now also supports DLSS 3.

With DLSS 3, those with compatible graphics cards (RTX 40 series) will be able use Frame Generation to improve frame rates. According to Nvidia, with DLSS 3 enabled, currently-available RTX 40 series GPUs can run the game at over 120FPS at 4K resolution with maximum graphics settings. The game also supports Nvidia Reflex, so any added latency from the Frame Generation tech can be minimised through Reflex.

Aside from Forza Horizon 5's DLSS 3 upgrade, a number of other games are set to get DLSS 2 support, including the likes of Deceive Inc., Tchia, Smalland: Survive the Wilds, The Last of Us Part I and Gripper.
