The Last of Us Part 1 PC system requirements announced

The Last of Us Part 1 is heading to PC in just a few weeks time. In preparation, today Sony has revealed detailed PC system requirements for those looking to play at 1080p, 1440p and 4K. Additionally, PC-specific features for the game have now been confirmed.

We'll start off with the PC-specific features. Not only will the game support FSR 2.2, as confirmed by AMD earlier this week, but it will also support Nvidia DLSS. Players will have VSync and frame rate cap options and a suite of adjustable graphics settings so you can tune performance and visuals to your liking. As has been the case with other PlayStation titles on PC, ultrawide resolutions and super ultrawide 32:9 resolutions will be supported.

As for PC specs, the minimum system requirements for The Last of Us Part I targets 30FPS gameplay at 720p resolution. You'll need at least an AMD Ryzen 5 1500X or Intel Core i7-4770K CPU, 16GB of RAM and a Radeon RX 470 or GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card.

The recommended system requirements target 1080p at 60FPS. For this, you'll need a Ryzen 5 3600X or Core i7-8700 CPU, 16GB of RAM and a Radeon RX 5800 XT or GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card. To hit 1440p at 60FPS, you'll want to have at least a Ryzen 5 5600X or Core i7-9700K CPU, 32GB of RAM and a Radeon RX 6750 XT or GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics card.

Finally, if you want to play at 4K with ultra graphics settings and achieve 60 frames per second, you'll need the best of the best. The spec sheet calls for a Ryzen 9 5600X or Core i5-12600K processor, 32GB of RAM and an RX 7900 XT or GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card.

KitGuru Says: The 1440p settings are higher than I would have expected, but I do wonder if perhaps the developers have over estimated here, as has been the case with a few other games in the past. Are any of you planning on picking up The Last of Us once it releases on PC?
