G.Skill has been at the forefront of the high-speed memory market for a while now. The company was amongst the first to offer DDR5-8000 speeds and now, 8000MHz kits are being made available in more capacity options, thanks to new 24GB DDR5 memory modules being made available.
Today G.Skill is launching its new 48GB DDR5-8000 Trident Z5 RGB memory kit, packing two 24GB RAM sticks with CL38-48-48 timings. G.Skill tested and validated the memory speeds using an Asus ROG Maximus Z790 Apex motherboard paired with an Intel Core i9-13900K.
In all, G.Skill's tests show maximum read/write speeds of 123.7GB/s and 120.7GB/s respectively, with 118GB/s copy speed in the AIDA64 benchmark.
The new memory kit supports Intel XMP 3.0 and will be available worldwide starting in April 2023.
