Forza Motorsport ‘Update 12’ available now

Forza Motorsport released last year to a positive reception from critics – though much less so from long-term fans of the racing series. That said, the devs at Turn 10 have slowly been improving the final product with each successive patch. Following their 2024 roadmap from last month, the team have now officially detailed and released ‘Update 12’.

Making the announcement on their blog, the team at Turn 10 Studios said “Celebrate your favorite mid-engine cars with Forza Motorsport Update 12. Renowned for their exceptional balance, handling and performance, two incredible mid-engine cars can be unlocked over the next five weeks, both new-to-Motorsport: the 2023 McLaren Artura and the 2022 Lamborghini Huracán EVO Spyder.”

Going into further detail on exactly what else has been added with this latest update, they continued, “We have two exciting features coming with this update: Spectate Mode, so you can race from start to podium and save a replay at the end, and Challenge Hub, which allows players to choose how they earn reward cars: either via the Featured Tour in Career as before, or by completing races in Featured Multiplayer.”

The full blog post is lengthy and goes into great depth on every change and addition, but some of the more notable enhancements include an update to the Forza Race Regulations AI Penalty System’ as well as additional weather options in both the free play and private games.
