PowerColor launches new GPU backplates for the Radeon RX 7900 Red Devil series

PowerColor recently launched two GPU backplates for its Radeon RX 7900 series Red Devil graphics cards. Named Devil Skins, PowerColor's swappable backplates are considerably different from one another, each offering unique aesthetics to choose from.

Previously, only the customers who bought the Red Devil AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX Limited Edition had access to a Devil Skin (Lava backplate). Now, with the launch of the Generative and Intrusive Devil Skins, anyone with a Red Devil 7900 series card can add some extra flair to their GPU and system.

The Intrusive Skin is a plastic-only backplate designed to protect your card while providing a fashionable and open appearance to let air flow through the card. The Generative backplate is quite different from the Intrusive backplate, offering a mesh-like design in plastic and aluminium that allows your GPU to breathe more freely.

PowerColor's new GPU backplates are compatible with the company's Radeon RX 7900 Devil series GPUs, meaning you can use them on both Radeon RX 7900 XT and XTX cards. Thanks to a few conveniently placed magnets, anyone can mount these backplates. Put the Devil Skin onto the card's existing backplates, and it's all done. The Generative and Intrusive Devil Skins will cost $59.99 and $29.99, respectively.
