We're still a week away from the release of Resident Evil 4 Remake but Capcom seemed to have so much confidence in the project that it sent review codes out very early. The embargo has now lifted, revealing high scores across the board.
Reviews for Resident Evil 4 Remake are now live. Taking a look at Metacritic and Open Critic, the game has been received very well, garnering average scores of 93 and 92 respectively, making it the second highest-rated game of the year so far, falling just behind Metroid Prime Remastered.
Given how early the embargo has lifted, the game must be in very good shape, so we can hopefully expect a polished experience on day one. Of course, it is worth noting that most review outlets will have played the console version rather than the PC version, so if you are concerned about the PC port, it might be best to wait for more information. With that said, the PC version of the demo seemed to run nicely.
Resident Evil 4 Remake will officially release for PC, Xbox and PlayStation on the 24th of March.
