Pictures of alleged RTX 4060 and 4070 series Founders Edition cards emerge online

Pictures of the alleged unreleased Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti Founders Edition graphics card have appeared online alongside photos of what looks to be an RTX 4060 Founders Edition card

When Nvidia announced the RTX 4070 Ti, it said that the Founders Edition model of this card wouldn't be available. However, as you might remember, the RTX 4070 Ti was once called RTX 4080 12GB, and back then, Nvidia was supposedly planning to launch a reference design card. During that phase, Nvidia had likely developed a few prototypes, and @KittyYuko's pictures corroborate that.

As per the leaker, this is from an RTX 4070 Ti, but we can't say for sure because it only shows the PCB. We could also confirm it via the inscription in the GPU die, but it's full of thermal paste debris. Still, based on the PCB design, we assume this card would use a similar two-opposing-fan cooling solution seen in previous RTX 30/40 series cards.

Soon after sharing the pictures of the RTX 4070 Ti PCB, the leaker posted a few more photos, this time of the RTX 4060 Founders Edition. Unlike the other leaked images, these clearly show it's from an RTX 4060. However, the leaker claims it could also be from RTX 4060 Ti. Overall, the design looks the same as the RTX 3080 and 3090 series and RTX 4080 and 4090 Founders Edition cards, with two fans on opposing sides, unlike the design used in the RTX 3070 and 3060 series reference cards.

KitGuru says: Given that the RTX 4070 Ti didn't get a Founders Edition release, we're unsure the RTX 4060 will. Still, it does seem that a cooler does exist, although we've seen faked cooler leaks in the past, so take this all with a pinch of salt.
