Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy announced

The Trine series is getting a new entry into the franchise. Like all Trine games, Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy is a 2.5D puzzle platformer developed by the Finnish developer Frozenbyte. Featuring Amadeus the Wizard, Zoya the Thief, and Pontius the Knight on a quest to save the kingdom from a fearsome Clockwork army, facing new tactical multi-phase boss fights along the way.

With twenty levels to explore, from gemstone caverns to underwater passageways, Trine 5 is set in a fantastical fairytale world full of magic and wonder. But the Heroes of Trine must beware, as they're pitted against villains who will stop at nothing to seize control of the kingdom.

Whether playing solo or with up to three friends in online and local co-op, the upgraded difficulty system adapts the challenge to the number of players, keeping things fresh and exciting across all 20 levels. A new skill system is in place for you to upgrade your heroes as you progress through the game.

The developer hopes to make Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy “the best Trine game of the series”, with an all-new cast of characters, including friends and foes. Developed in Helsinki, Finland, Trine 5 is set to release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch this summer.
