Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was announced by Ubisoft all the way back in 2017. Developed by Massive Entertainment (known for their work on The Division series), the game went radio silent until 2021 when it was re-revealed. Despite its long development, we have yet to see any in-game footage – until now thanks to a new leak.
As shared by dataminer ScriptLeaksR6 (who also recently claimed that both Assassin’s Creed Mirage and The Crew: Motorfest have been delayed), the first screenshot for the upcoming Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was released revealing that the game is in fact a first person shooter.
All the official footage shared so far by Ubisoft has featured no gameplay, but with Massive Entertainment known for their work on 3rd-person open-world titles, many assumed that the upcoming title would likewise share the same perspective.
Those curious about what Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will look like in motion need not fear as ScriptLeaksR6 announced that they will soon share some more leaks for the game in the form of gameplay video footage.
As mentioned, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was first announced in 2017. Then, the game was re-revealed in 2021 with a release year planned for 2022. This of course did not happen, with the game then being delayed to the 2023-2024 fiscal year (meaning April 2023 to March 2024).
With screenshots and video footage leaking to the public, it is safe to assume that an official unveiling is planned for the not-too-distant future – perhaps at the publisher’s next Ubisoft Connect.
