Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Deck13 announced Atlas Fallen back at Gamescom 2022. Things went quiet for a few months following, but the silent period came to an end a few weeks ago when a May release date was announced. Now, just a short time later, Deck13 has pushed the game back by a few months.
Atlas Fallen has been delayed from May 16th to the 10th of August, giving the team at Deck13 an extra few months to polish up the game. While the game will no longer be coming out in May, the studio does promise updates on the game, including new gameplay footage, in the early summer.

Atlas Fallen is an action-RPG, putting players in solo or co-op up against massive beasts throughout the desert. While the official reason for the delay is additional development time, Diablo 4 is set to release within two weeks of the game's originally planned May launch date. Given the popularity of Diablo 4 during its recent beta, it would be very risky to launch a new IP in the same genre in the same time period.
Atlas Fallen will be available on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on the 10th of August. Pre-orders are now available, complete with bonus items for early buyers.
