Tetris Effect, Bugsnax and more leaving Game Pass

Xbox Game Pass has proven to be quite a success for Microsoft, with the subscription-based service adding a bunch of games on a monthly basis. Unfortunately, as is the case with such services, each month also sees the removal of a number of titles. Come the end of April, subscribers will no longer be able to play a number of well-regarded games including the critically acclaimed Tetris Effect Connected.

The second half of April is bringing with it a number of exciting games including the first-party open-world co-op vampire hunting game Redfall alongside indies such as Coffee Talk and The Last Case of Benedict Fox. Unfortunately, Microsoft giveth and Microsoft taketh away. Leaving Xbox Game Pass on the 30th of April is the following:

  • Bugsnax (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Destroy All Humans! (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Dragon Quest Builders 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Tetris Effect Connected (Console and PC)
  • Unsouled (Cloud, Console, and PC)

While some of these games are one-and-done experiences, the likes of Tetris Effect Connected can be played infinitely and so its removal is somewhat disappointing.

That said, the title is certainly more than worth its asking price, and those who have been enjoying this game (and others) can continue to do so thanks to a 20% discount which Microsoft offers on all titles leaving Game Pass.
