MSI is expanding its gaming display portfolio with a new curved monitor. The new G27C4X is aimed at customers looking for a decently sized curved VA monitor with a 16:9 aspect ratio, a very high refresh rate, and an accessible price tag.
Packing a 27-inch VA panel with a 1500R curvature, the MSI G27C4X display has a FullHD resolution, 250Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time (MPRT). The panel's brightness is rated at 300 nits, and the contrast ratio is at a typical 3000:1 (for a VA). The panel has a 10-bit colour depth (8-bit + FRC) and can cover 88.7% of the Adobe RGB, 89.7% of the DCI-P3, and 113% of the sRGB colour spaces.
Like many other gaming monitors, it supports AMD FreeSync Premium and features anti-flicker technology and a low blue-light mode. Other features like a crosshair overlay, support for Windows 11 Auto HDR, and Night Vision are also present. The monitor's stand only offers tilting capabilities, but that can be easily improved by mounting the monitor on a VESA 100×100-compatible arm. Connectivity inputs include a DisplayPort 1.2a, 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, and a 3.5mm audio-out jack.
The monitor is already listed at some US stores, with prices ranging between $220 and $250.

KitGuru says: A Full HD resolution in a 27-inch panel won't be everyone's cup of tea. Still, there will undoubtedly be some who will be interested in this monitor for its high refresh rate.
