PowerWash Simulator 2023 roadmap revealed

Ever since its launch last Summer, PowerWash Simulator has been able to keep fans captivated not only through its satisfying gameplay loop, but also thanks to a number of free updates which included a whole host of exciting crossover content. Now, the team at FuturLab have officially detailed their roadmap for 2023 – including free and paid DLC.

Making the announcement on their blog, the team at FuturLab said “Hop in the van, we’re going on a road trip! Throughout 2023, we’ll be taking you to places near and far in a range of Special Packs and updates that traverse Muckingham and beyond. Behold, our 2023 roadmap!”

The roadmap (seen below) shows that PowerWash Simulator will be getting a number of significant updates throughout each Quarter of this year. Starting with Q2, update 1.2.0 is planned for release on the 18th of April. Dubbed, The Muckingham Files series, this free DLC will “take you to never-before-seen places from the original universe of the base game, with new characters, locations and stories.”

The 13th of June will see PowerWash simulator released in a physical form, being made available for Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch – an excellent addition for fans of game preservation and physical media in general. Finally, Q2 will also see the release of paid DLC – though no details have been shared yet.

Similar to Q2, the next Quarter will see the release of more free content, paid DLC and some “exciting news”, though no further details were shared. Personally, I hope the news is about a VR release for the game as it would seem to be a perfect fit.

Finally, Q4 will bring with it some free Seasonal Content (meaning probably either Halloween or Christmas themed content – or perhaps both) as well as some more paid DLC. While it would be good to know what to expect with the paid DLC, the consistency of the update schedule is rather exciting, and based on the quality of the free DLC released so far, hopefully the paid ones will be worth it.

KitGuru Games: Omni-movement culminates 30 years of FPS innovation

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.
