Hot Wheels Unleashed has sold more than 2 million copies worldwide

Hot Wheels Unleashed is Milestone's most successful release. A year and a half since its introduction, the game sold over 2 million copies and was played by more than 8 million players worldwide.

Based on the latest statistics shared by Milestone, the studio behind the game, Hot Wheels Unleashed has sold over 2 million copies globally and has over 8 million registered gamers on all the platforms where the game is available. The latter figure comes from the game being free to Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus subscribers. According to the data posted, users have played the game for about 939 years worth of time.

The action-packed arcade-style racing game is accessible but hard to master. It enables Hot Wheels enthusiasts to drift, boost, leap, and crash while picking from 60+ cars and six distinct landscapes. Among all vehicle categories, the Hot Wheels Twin Mill 2021 is the most popular, appearing in almost 20% of all races.

Two aspects of Hot Wheels Unleashed enable players to show their creativity. The Livery Editor allows fans to personalise the appearance of their favourite vehicles by adding colours and shapes to Hot Wheels Originals and real manufacturer vehicles. More than one million liveries have been made, with a peak of over 20,000 submissions in a single day. The other is Track Builder, aimed towards gamers who wish to take control of the distinctive orange track and create their own circuits. Up to now, over 350,000 unique courses have been designed.
