Each week, those with an Epic Games account are privy to a number of titles for free. This week, Epic is giving away the first-person co-op multiplayer dinosaur shooter ‘Second Extinction’ as well as medieval multiplayer slasher ‘Mordhau’.
Available to add to your library from now until the 20th of April [4PM UK Time], Second Extinction is described as “a new breed of big map multiplayer shooter” where your goal is to “reclaim Earth”. In Second Extinction, players will be squading up in groups of three to take on the hoards of Dinosaurs roaming the lands.
Despite being in Early Access currently, the game has plenty to sink your teeth into, with “6 heroes, 12 weapons (with 5 upgrade tiers each) and 6 missions – plus some special side quests – across multiple regions of our big map.”
Mordhau meanwhile is a multiplayer first/third-person slasher which sees you take part in large 80-player battles, where you can roleplay while experiencing the “brutal and satisfying melee combat that will have you always coming back for more” – thanks in part to its free-form melee and ranged combat.
Both Modhau and Second Extinction are available to add to your library right now and will remain playable indefinitely as long as you redeem them before the 20th of April.
