Techland seeks fan feedback on ideas for Dying Light 3

It has been a year since Dying Light 2 launched and during that time, Techland has continually updated the game and introduced additional content through DLCs. Now, Techland appears to be thinking about its next step, asking fans for their thoughts on a potential Dying Light 3.

In a post on Twitter, Techland's Dying Light franchise director, Tymon Smektała, asked fans for feedback on a new main character for Dying Light 3, putting out the following poll:

While the tweet is prefaced by saying this is not an announcement for Dying Light 3, it does show that Techland is exploring ideas for a new game in the series behind the scenes. Now, it is also making that idea public to gauge feedback before greenlighting a new game.

Techland began working on Dying Light shortly after shipping Dead Island, leading to a release in 2015. While Dying Light 2 was planned to release much earlier, delays and complications brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic meant that the sequel didn't come out until 2022.
