Resident Evil Village VR will be a launch title for PS VR2

Earlier this year, Capcom announced plans to release a VR update for Resident Evil Village. While not officially announced for PC just yet, the VR version has been announced for PS5, and it will be a launch title for Sony's next-gen VR headset.

The PlayStation VR2 is launching in early 2023, and as promised, there will be a strong line-up of launch titles, including a brand new Horizon game from Sony. On the third-party front, Resident Evil Village will be a standout title, just as Resident Evil 7 was for the original PSVR headset.

Capcom confirmed this week that RE Village VR will be available for PS VR2 at launch in February 2023, taking advantage of a number of the features Sony has implemented. For instance, 3D Audio will be present, the game has also been reworked for Sony's new Sense controllers, so you can wield a weapon in each hand, reload your gun manually, and you'll even be able to feel recoil thanks to improved haptic feedback.

While Resident Evil 7 VR never launched outside of the PlayStation version, there is some evidence suggesting that Resident Evil Village VR will eventually come to PC too.
