Xbox Game Pass Standard is officially here (alongside list of titles not included)

Back in July, Microsoft made a huge announcement regarding its Xbox Game Pass subscription service, announcing a brand new ‘Standard’ tier which removes one of the service’s core selling points – its day-one Game Pass additions. With the revamped service now officially live, we have gotten more details on exactly which games are and aren’t included.

Making the announcement on the Xbox Wire Blog, Chris Lee – the VP of Xbox Marketing – said “Starting today, we are launching a new plan for Xbox Game Pass – Game Pass Standard. This plan brings together features that players love about Game Pass for Console and Game Pass Core, while providing an additional option when you are deciding which plan is right for you.”

We’ve previously detailed and discussed the changes coming with this revamp HERE, but for those who were wondering which games will and will not be included in the lower-tiered subscription, Microsoft has now offered greater clarity.

One of the big benefits of Game Pass Ultimate is its inclusion of EA Play titles. Beyond this however, Game Pass Standard will also be missing a few dozen already-released games, including but not limited to:

  • Age of Mythology: Retold
  • Another Crab's Treasure
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare® III
  • Diablo IV
  • Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn
  • Forza Motorsport
  • Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
  • Little Kitty, Big City
  • MLB The Show 24
  • OCTOPATH TRAVELER II
  • Neon White
  • PAYDAY 3
  • Senua's Saga: Hellblade II
  • Starfield
  • Tchia

While we now have a much clearer understanding on what Game Pass Standard entails, it would still be nice to get an exact breakdown of the differences between the services – including how long day-one games will remain GP Ultimate exclusives.
