Five Nights At Freddy’s film gets first teaser trailer

Five Nights At Freddy’s may just be one of the biggest indie franchises of all time, with the simplicity of the original game giving way to 9 titles in total, a dozen books and now a film. Set to arrive in cinemas on the 27th of October, the first teaser for Five Nights at Freddy’s has now been released.

The short minute-long trailer feels tonally inline with the games, taking on a discomforting energy and vibe even prior to the reveal of the animatronics.

Speaking of, Freddy and friend’s animatronic characters have been created by Jim Henson’s iconic Creature Shop (known for their work on The Dark Crystal, Sesame Street, Honey, I Blew up the Kids and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone – to name a few).

The synopsis for the Five Night At Freddy’s adaptation is as follows: “The film follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy's won't be so easy to make it through.”

Five Nights At Freddy’s will come to cinemas as well as Paramount+ on the 27th of October. The film is directed by Emma Tammi and stars Josh Hutcherson of Hunger Games fame.
