Asus launches RTX 4090 graphics cards with RTX 3090 Ti coolers

While the original ROG Strix and TUF Gaming RTX 4090 provided robust designs and cooling potential, those with smaller cases may prefer a more compact version. As a solution, ASUS has announced two brand-new cards: the ROG Strix LC GeForce RTX 4090 and TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 OG, both of which bring the power of this flagship silicon in a smaller package.

The TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 OG and TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 OG OC Edition feature three Axial-tech fans with dual ball bearings, with the centre fan rotating in the opposite direction to reduce turbulence and fan noise. The TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 OG stands out thanks to its sleek 3.2 slot design, allowing for much better case compatibility than other RTX 4090 models.

On the other hand, the ROG Strix LC GeForce RTX 4090 and its respective OC variant are two graphics cards that utilise liquid cooling for improved thermal efficiency. For these models, ASUS used the same pump, radiator, and fan combination as used in the last generation's flagship Strix LC GeForce RTX 3090 Ti. Featuring a full coverage cold plate for the GPU and memory and a sleek shroud and blower-style cooler to handle the heat, the ROG Strix LC GeForce RTX 4090 has the signature ROG styling and engineering expertise.

It has a 240mm radiator, 560mm long tubing, and a 2.6-slot design allowing you to mount it on most PC cases. The twin 120mm ARGB fans on the radiator are optimized for high airflow and static pressure, allowing the pump to operate with minimal noise. The ROG Strix LC GeForce RTX 4090 also has dual FanConnect PWM headers, which can be tuned to respond to GPU temperatures using Asus GPU Tweak III software.
