Microsoft has been looking to boost PC Game Pass over the last year. Now, the company hopes to continue that growth with a new referral program, allowing PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to give out free 14-day trials of Game Pass to friends.
With the free trial, your friends will get to enjoy all the benefits of PC Game Pass, including new titles from Xbox Game Studios on day one, an EA Play membership, and access to popular PC and mobile games from Riot Games. By linking a Riot Games account to an Xbox profile, users can unlock content in games like Valorant, League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra, such as agents, champions, little legends, XP boosts, and more.
To invite your friends to try PC Game Pass, head to the Game Pass Home screen and click on the “Give PC Game Pass” button. Alternatively, you can invite your friends via Xbox.com. Remember, the invited friends must be new to Game Pass to redeem the free trial.
This can be particularly useful for multiplayer games hitting Game Pass on day-one. Based on reviews, Redfall is going to be a tough sell, but if you could offer a free Game Pass membership to a friend, you'd have a much easier time getting a co-op buddy on board.
