Metal Gear Solid Delta will reuse all the original game’s dialogue

One of the biggest surprises at the PlayStation Showcase was the announcement of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – a remake of the iconic PS2 game from Hideo Kojima. At the time, few details were shared, though in the days since we have gotten an influx of new information regarding this much-anticipated title. We now know that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will use the original game’s audio lines.

As reported by The Verge, Konami’s head of communications ‘Tommy Williams’ confirmed to the publication that Metal Gear Solid Delta will “reuse the voice lines from the original game with no changes.”

Quickly following the official announcement of the remake, Konami stated that MGS Delta would “star the original voice characters” adding that “story and character voices” would “remain the same from the original game.”

This led to some confusion as to whether all the voice actors would be returning to re-record their lines or whether the remake would simply reuse the original audio. We now know that it is the latter.

For a game as precious to so many as Metal Gear Solid 3, it is comforting to know that at least one aspect of the game will remain exactly as it was with the 2004 original. Hopefully we learn even more about Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater soon.
