Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt is no longer in active development

It has been just over a year since Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt first launched and while the game did garner some interest from fans, the player base isn't big enough to justify further development. With that in mind, today Sharkmob has announced plans to end development on the game.

The game is no longer in active development and will stop receiving content updates. In a blog post, developer Sharkmob admitted that the game didn't “reach the critical mass needed” to keep the game in development.

While the game is no longer going to receive updates, servers will remain online, so the game will remain playable for the foreseeable future. We would expect that to end at some point in the future, but likely not until at least 2024.

The game's premium currency will also no longer be sold starting in September.
