The next wave of Xbox Game Pass titles have been announced

We're halfway through the month, which means it is time for another Xbox Game Pass update. Over the second half of May eight more titles will be coming to Game Pass, including the addition of FIFA 23 via EA Play (Game Pass PC and Game Pass Ultimate only).

There are two Day One releases for Game Pass with this update. The first is Planet of Lana, a cinematic puzzle adventure game set on a far-distant planet. The second day-one title is Railway Empire 2, which is a management sim that allows you to grow and operate a Railway company with the goal of outsmarting the competition and bolstering your network of rail lines, bridges and tunnels to connect cities.

Here's the full list of games heading to Xbox Game Pass, along with availability dates and platforms:

  • FIFA 23 (Console and PC) EA Play – Available now
  • Eastern Exorcist (Console and PC) – May 18
  • Ghostlore (Console) – May 18
  • Planet of Lana (Console and PC) – May 23
  • Cassette Beasts (Console) – May 25
  • Massive Chalice (Cloud and Console) – May 25
  • Railway Empire 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC) – May 25
  • Chicory: A Colorful Tale (Console and PC) – May 30

On the 31st of May a few games will be leaving Game Pass including Europa Universalis (PC), Evil Genius 2 (Cloud, Console, PC), FIFA 21 (Console and PC), Floppy Knights (Cloud, Console, PC), and Lawn Mowing Simulator (Cloud, Console, PC). There will be another Game Pass library update in a couple of weeks' time but expect a few major announcements to be saved for later in the month, as Microsoft will be hosting the summer Xbox Games Showcase in June.

KitGuru Says: What do you all think of the latest Game Pass update? Personally, I'm a bit sad to see Evil Genius 2 go, although it should be pretty cheap to buy on PC at this point.
