We're still waiting on Sony and Insomniac to announce the release date for Spider-Man 2 but official news should be just around the corner. Promotion for the game is ramping up with month, starting off with a free digital comic available today that fills in some of the gaps between the end of Spider-Man and Miles Morales and the start of the new game.
Spider-Man 2 is currently rumoured to be releasing in September, just like the first game back in 2018. In the meantime, fans can get a taste of what's to come through the new Spider-Man 2 #1 comic, written by Christos Gage and illustrated by Ig Guara. The comic will have Peter and Miles looking to stop a ritual taking place in an NYC warehouse.
The comic is available to read for free digitally through the Marvel website or Marvel Unlimited app. A brief run of physical copies were made available in the US last week as part of Free Comic Book Day.
Spider-Man 2 is set to release in 2023. The game will see Peter Parker and Miles Morales return to take on new threats, including Venom, Kraven and the Osborns. The game should be a major part of Sony's upcoming PlayStation Showcase, which could be taking place before the end of the month.
