Upcoming Gran Turismo 7 update teased

One year on from its initial launch, Gran Turismo 7 continues to see consistent updates and support from the team at Polyphony Digital, with new cars, modes, tracks, optimisations and more. Just one month on from the last update, another GT7 content drop has now been teased for this week.

Making the announcement on Twitter over the weekend, GT7’s game director and Polyphony Digital president Kazunori Yamauchi shared an image of some new cars shrouded in darkness, saying “Update is coming next week.”

As always, eagle-eyed fans such as ‘Fighterman_FFRC’ have already deciphered the image, revealing that the cars set to be coming with this update are as follows:

  • Alfa Romeo Giulia
  • Nismo Custom R32 GT-R
  • Custom 1971 Ford Maverick (2018 SEMA Gran Turismo Award Winner)

It is worth noting that this is likely to be but a small taste of what is to come with the update. Each previous patch has brought with it much more than just a few extra cars, with prior updates introducing a 120hz mode; new tracks; VRR support; additional events and even physics improvements.

With the consistent and continued improvements being added with each update, it will be interesting to see what this upcoming patch brings with it. Luckily, we won’t have to wait long to find out.
