Asus introduces the ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless gaming keyboard

Asus ROG unveiled its latest wireless gaming keyboard, the Strix Scope II 96 Wireless. This compact keyboard features a 96% layout, packing all the functions and number keys in a standard 100% keyboard while saving space. The Strix Scope II 96 Wireless provides three connectivity options: Bluetooth, ROG SpeedNova 2.4 GHz wireless, and wired USB.

The keyboard is equipped with pre-lubed, hot-swappable ROG NX Snow linear mechanical switches. To improve the acoustics, the Strix Scope II 96 Wireless features built-in sound-dampening foam and switch-dampening pads. Moreover, it features low-friction stabilisers and ROG PBT doubleshot keycaps or UV-coated ABS keycaps.

In addition to these features, the keyboard includes sound-dampening foam for the bottom housing and an extra layer of dampening above the printed circuit board assembly. Integrated switch-dampening pads underneath the switches further contribute to improved keystroke acoustics. The Strix Scope II 96 Wireless keyboard has a multifunction button and scroll wheel for media playback control, volume adjustment, and customising keyboard lighting.

With ROG SpeedNova wireless technology, the keyboard offers over 1,500 hours of gameplay in 2.4 GHz RF mode (with RGB lighting and OLED display turned off). The ROG Omni Receiver allows for multiple wireless connections with compatible devices using a single USB dongle. Alternatively, gamers can connect to three devices simultaneously via Bluetooth or charge the keyboard while playing in wired USB mode.

Kitguru says: There are plenty of wireless gaming keyboards on the market. However, this form factor isn't too common, even in wired keyboards.
