MSI to launch black edition RTX 4060 cards without RGB lighting

The RTX 4060 is heading our way later this month. Some board partners have already announced their planned RTX 4060 models. This week, MSI joins the club, revealing four new RTX 4060 models, all sporting an RGB-free design.

Of the four cards unveiled, two belong to the Gaming series, and the other two belong to the Ventus 2X series. The MSI RTX 4060 Gaming graphics card will be available in two variants: one with a factory overclock (Gaming X) and one without (Gaming). The non-X model offers a boost clock of 2475MHz when set to “Extreme Performance”, while the standard boost clock is set to 2460MHz. On the other hand, the Gaming X card has slightly faster clock speeds, with a factory overclock pushing it to 2610MHz (Extreme Performance) and 2595MHz (standard).

The Ventus 2X Black series are lower-end SKUs in the MSI lineup. Available as RTX 4060 Ventus 2X Black and Ventus 2X Black OC, these cards boost up to 2475MHz or 2505MHz, respectively. Although this is not a Mini-ITX form factor, the card is still relatively small, measuring 199mm in length while still being able to house two fans.

MSI RTX 4060 graphics cards will release on June 29th, alongside models from other AIB partners, with prices starting at $299. Of these four models, we only expect to see the Ventus 2X Black (non-OC) launch at MSRP. The other three will probably come with a premium over the MSRP due to their higher clock speeds.
