Intel is discontinuing the Arc A770 16GB Limited Edition graphics card

Intel has announced that it will no longer be shipping the Arc A770 Limited Edition graphics card. This decision solely impacts the Intel-branded “Limited Edition” GPUs and specifically the A770 SKU, so custom A770 graphics cards from partners will continue to be available, as will the Arc A750 Limited Edition, for the time being at least.

It has been confirmed by PC Gamer that all board partner designs will continue as planned, with Intel providing the SKUs to these companies as usual. As far as we know, no PCN (product change notification) has been issued for the Arc A750 Limited Edition.

The A770 Limited Edition was one of the few Intel models that offered 16GB of VRAM, making it a rarity in the market. As a result of this decision, only three 16GB models of the Arc A770 will remain available, namely the Acer Predator Bifrost and the Gunnir Photon in black and white. Consequently, the list of available models is quite short. On the other hand, Intel does offer an 8GB variant to its partners, and there are as many as four models featuring this configuration.

It is worth noting that the announcement regarding the product change was made yesterday and has already taken effect. Typically, companies announce product discontinuations or changes well in advance, as these processes involve multiple steps and can take up to a year to complete. The issuance of this Product Change Notification (PCN) confirms that no further Limited Edition cards will be manufactured.
