TMNT Shredder’s Revenge successfully revived the much-loved franchise, creating an arcade-like brawler which equally harkens back to days of old while simultaneously improving upon the genre’s formula. Since its release, the game has seen continued support, receiving a massive update with dozens of changes and improvements. In a surprise announcement, it has now been revealed that TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge is set to get some DLC later this year.
Making the announcement via a trailer, the team at Dotemu revealed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge – Dimension Shellshock. Set to arrive later this year, in addition to a new game mode and character colours, Dimension Shellshock brings new playable fighters “including the razor-sharp Usagi Yojimbo,” with the team adding that “the steely rabbit samurai is ready to hop across dimensions to fight evil and witness a new style of otherworldly battles awaiting the Turtles!”
No information was provided regarding how much this DLC will cost, but considering the fact that the base game itself costs just over £20, expect it to be fairly priced. For those who have no interest in paying for DLC, the team have also promised additional free updates in the future, adding new colour options and more.
