Nintendo’s support for its Switch Online service has been somewhat inconsistent ever since it first went live back in 2018. That said, the subscription service has slowly but surely been filled up with a number of quality titles. Joining the NSO library right now are a number of classics, including the original Harvest Moon and Kirby.
Making the announcement, Nintendo said “Ready to have a ball with four classic titles on your Nintendo Switch system? You’re in luck, because Kirby Tilt ‘n’ Tumble [GBC], Mystery Tower [NES], Harvest Moon [SNES] and Blaster Master: Enemy Below [GBC] are playable right now.”
Interestingly, Harvest Moon was first added to the Japanese NSO line-up all the way back in March of last year. It is therefore exciting to see this fan-favourite farming sim finally be made available in the West via Nintendo Switch Online.
While it remains unfortunate that the Nintendo Switch Online’s library is updated in a rather inconsistent manner (especially when it comes to the likes of the N64 and GBA), no games leave the service, and so with each new update the library only gets better.
