MSI have silently slipped out another new netbook called the U135DX.
The machine pictured below is finished with a rather attractive red accent along the front and behind the keyboard. They also offer the machine in other colours, such as blue and white, pink and silver – all of which we think are rather sexy.
Inside, the machine is powered by the Intel Atom N455 processor which supports both DDR2 and DDR3 memory and it looks as if MSI might be offering machines with both options at a later date. Currently only DDR2 is available on their site which is a bit disappointing.
The machine follows standard guidelines for a netbook. An LED backlit 10 inch screen at 1024×600 with a 160GB HD and a 0.3 webcam with 802.11 b/b draft n wifi. Three USB 2.0 ports are offered with a multi card reader on Windows 7 starter edition. They also offer a 3 cell battery as standard with options to pay more for a 6 cell.
The machine weighs 1.2 kg so it is easily portable, ideal for this market. Pricing has to be confirmed.
KitGuru says: This looks to be a capable netbook machine with a well rounded list of specifications.
