Lies of P demo available now

Following the overwhelming success of the Souls franchise we have witnessed many teams taking on the task of trying to carve out their own niche within the genre. One of the more exciting Souls-likes is the upcoming Lies of P; letting you play as the famous Pinocchio in a cruel, dark Belle Époque world. Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest Kick Off brought with it a whole bunch of announcements and many surprises, including the shadow-drop of a Lies of P demo.

Releasing a story-focused trailer, the team at Round8 Studio announced the official release date for the much-anticipated Souls-like – arriving on the 19th of September 2023. Back in February the team claimed that Lies of P would be released within 6 months. While one month later than expected, it is exciting nonetheless to get a proper launch date for the game.

Even more exciting is the fact that a demo is available right now across all platforms (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PC) meaning you do not need to wait until September to know whether the game feels as good to play as it looks.

Featuring “hours” of gameplay, the demo includes the first two chapters of Lies of P, including challenging boss encounters, introductions to key characters, and unique areas to explore – “but only scratches the surface of the game’s full content fans can look forward to at launch.”
