iPad application of the week: Flipboard

We have reviewed several games for the iPad on our gaming site recently but today we thought we would make our readers aware of a rather cool application just released for the iPad.

Flipboard is a social magazine with high objectives which looks to be one of the most exciting new releases in recent times on Apple's popular handheld platform.

Flipboard has been designed from the ground up for the iPad and it creates a magazine out of social content. You launch the program, flip open the cover and from the table of contents the reader can view their sections and personalise the magazine to suit their own tastes.

This content is based around the end users own account(s) on Facebook and Twitter and it can also call in other interests to round out the overall experience.

KitGuru Says: What is even better is the price, its free. it is a cool concept which we feel a large portion of the active social networking audience will enjoy playing with when they have some downtime.
