While Verizon and Motorola still fumble with official responses as to its existance, according to Engadget it appears that Best Buy in North Carolina have placed some Droid 2 units on shelves with some pricing information.
The phone appears to be launching for $199 with a carrier subsidy and $599 without a plan to offset initial costs. There are still no firm release dates, but we hear 12th August as the (un)confirmed date.

These have to be the worst PR company ever, everyone knows its coming out and there is no offical information at all. They need fired and replaced with people who know how to sell a product and build hype.
And they wonder why Apple sell so many crap phones – its all about hype. this phone will be on sale before its announced bythe company responsible. nice work 🙂
