Korea buy over 1,050,000 iPhones

Reports in today show that over 1 million iPhones have been sold in Korea since the launch – our figures are showing 1,050,239 units as of last night. This number is impressive because Korea are generally slow in adopting new technology, a point which Apple will be keen to detail.

Korea is looking to enhance their advancement in digital equipment to create a networked work environment which allow people to handle duties through any device and conduct tasks anywhere. A new work initiative announced by the government in July aims to allow for over 30 percent of public employees to work from home or close ‘smart work'  centers by 2015.

KitGuru says: This is a milestone for Apple and it shows that Korea are warming to the mobile market. Google Android phones are sure to be pushed hard in Korea as more companies get products launched.
