Gigabyte lists new Intel 700-series and AMD 600-series motherboards

Recently, new information has emerged regarding upcoming Gigabyte motherboards, as revealed by the regulatory office of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). Gigabyte appears to be working on updates for both the AMD X670/B650 and the Intel Z790 platform.

Gigabyte had previously released a BIOS update for its Intel 600/700 motherboards based on the LGA1700 socket. This update brought support for Intel's next-generation CPUs, which have been heavily implied to be a refresh to the existing Raptor Lake series processors.

While Intel's upcoming desktop processors may still rely on old architecture, motherboard makers will still be shipping newly updated models. We got a peek at the Aorus Master X and Xtreme X motherboards at Computex earlier this year and the company has a few more models up its sleeve.

The EEC listing shared by @momomo_us suggests Gigabyte has six more Z790 “X” boards planned, including the Z790 Aorus Tachyon X, Z790 Aorus Elite X WIFI7, Z790 Aorus Elite X AX, Z790 Aorus Pro X, B760M Aorus Elite X AX, and B760M YT Pioneer WIFI. The specific changes made to these motherboards are currently unknown, but there are hints of potential upgrades such as 5GbE networking and WiFi 7 support, as seen on the Aorus Master X and Xtreme X models.

Additionally, Gigabyte included new AMD AM5 motherboards in the EEC filing, with the introduction of the “Arctic” design (B650M Aorus Elite AXE Arctic) being the highlight. Although details are scarce, it is likely that this board will feature a white aesthetic, straying away from Gigabyte's usual black and grey design. Besides the Artic motherboards, AMD has also registered the X670 Aorus Elite AX V2, X670 Gaming X AX V2, X670E Aorus Elite AX, B650 Aorus Elite AX V2, B650M Aorus Elite AX ARC and B650M Gaming WIFI motherboards.

KitGuru says: Like Gigabyte, other motherboard vendors should also introduce a few new models with the release of the Raptor Lake refresh.
