In a series of acquisitions, Logitech purchased gaming headset manufacturer Astro for $85 million in 2017, followed by the acquisition of microphone manufacturer Blue Microphones for $177 million in 2018. However, Logitech has now made the decision to merge both companies into its Logitech G brand. While Astro will largely continue its operations under the Logitech G umbrella, the Blue brand is being discontinued.
The news was shared through Logitech G Twitter account (via The Verge), with a post directing customers to an informative question and answer session on the dedicated subreddit. The session aimed to address inquiries about support channels and how Astro, Blue, and LFC (Logitech for Creators) would integrate into the Logitech G ecosystem.

Confirming the restructuring, a brand manager responded to a fan query, stating that the Blue brand would be discontinued. However, Logitech will retain and incorporate the Yeti brand under Logitech G. The Blue name will be retained solely for describing the advanced technologies utilised in their products.
The Blue brand has since been removed from Logitech's website's list of brands. On the Logitech G sub-page, listings of microphone models such as Yeti and Snowball have been updated. The brand manager also confirmed ASTRO's future, assuring customers that it would continue as a premium console audio product series within the Logitech G lineup, and teased an upcoming launch related to the brand.
Logitech aims to create a unified and synergistic user experience by integrating all the newly consolidated equipment lines within the Logitech G software suite. In the tweeted video, Logitech also hinted at an announcement of a “deeper integration” that will be available soon.
