Rock launches new notebooks: Head-to-head with Cryo

Rock Direct used to be one of the largest gaming notebook manufacturers in the UK, supplying high-end machines to keen gamers across the country.  They slipped under the radar back in 2007 when they were bought out by Stone computers and have, until now, had a very limited and outdated range.

It seems that they are planning a comeback, releasing four new models last week to compete with some of the finest machines out there.  All four machines are based around Clevo barebones like Cryo's latest range of gaming laptops and, if they are up to the same high standard as Cryo's Mercia notebook we looked at recently, we're sure they will prove to be great machines.  Rock provide 3-year onsite warranties as standard with all four machines to guarantee peace of mind.

Rock Xtreme 680

The Rock Xtreme 680 is based on the same Clevo W860CU as the Cryo Mercia.  It's also available with a 3D screen and nVidia 3D Vison.  Prices start from £1299 inc. VAT.
