The Galaxy S, Samsungs flagship Android powered smartphone has been selling well across the globe – particularly in the US were it has shifted over 3 million units.
The Galaxy S has been supported by T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint and AT&T with their own versions of the phone on the market. While US sales are very strong, worldwide they have sold around 7 million which shows very healthy profits indeed for the South Korean mobile phone maker.
They said that they are also on track to reach 2 million units sold in South Korea in the coming month which would be a milestone for the company as they have already sold 1.6 million units.
Samsung said a few months ago that they aimed to ship over 10 million Galaxy S devices by the end of the ongoing year and it looks like their predictions are pretty close to the mark.
