Asetek have been quiet recently but they have announced a new range of sealed, liquid cooling system designed for systems with confined space, such as high end HTPC rigs.
The cooling systems are based around radiators which fit 92mm fan fans, rather than the 120mm size which is commonplace today. The three models, single fan 545LC, dual fan 565LX and 585LX are said to offer high performance cooling in small physical spaces with low levels of noise – 26dBa according to Asetek. 50,000 hour life span is reported, with no maintenance required, which appeals to a wide audience.
The 545LC, cools a single Intel 775, 1156, 1366 processor or AMD AM2, AM2+, AM3 processor and includes a 92mm radiator for small form factor gaming systems. The 565LX is a 92mm dual fan radiator if your chassis has more space inside and the high end 585LX caters for dual processor systems with a dual fan 92mm fan configuration.
Asetek have yet to list any pricing specifications but they will be offered to OEMs and ODMs.
KitGuru says: Asetek have a good reputation in the industry and make for many system builders on the market today.
