The Apple iPad is the market that many manufacturers are targeting in recent months and the latest competitor from Notion Ink is now ready for pre ordering.
The Adam tablet is initially only available for pre order to those people who are already registered contributers to the Notion Ink blog, and these will be the first people to get the link.
The Adam is powered by an nVidia Tegra 2 processor. The Cortex A9 tablet has 1GB of memory and 1GB of SLC flash memory and 8GB of storage space. It is well rounded out with a 3.2 megapixel camera, stereo speakers, microSD slot, two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI output, mini USB, 3 axis accelerometer and ambient light sensor. When you factor in 802.11 b/g/n and bluetooth 2.1 with a digital compass the connectivity side looks extremely impressive.
There are going to be four different versions, two with a Pixel Qi screen (1024×600) and two with an LCD panel. Pricing starts at $375, right up to $549.99 for WiFi and 3G.
Slashgear have stated that the release should be January 6th 2011, but its yet to be confirmed officially by the company.
KitGuru says: Sexy or fugly?
that specification list is enough to make a grown man cry, especially Steve Jobs!
Seems to be USA only which sucks.
Well you could always import one? I know a lot of people in the UK imported their ipads to save money.
