The MKey is the first mechanical gaming keyboard from Montech, a company known for their PC cases, several of which we have reviewed here at KitGuru. The MKey is available in both full size and TKL models, in two distinctive designs; Freedom and Darkness, said to be inspired by Osaka Castle in Japan. Can a keyboard really capture the essence of a castle built in 1583?

The Mkey Mechanical Keyboard is due to go on sale in the UK in mid-July. We don't have a confirmed UK price point, but the full size model retails for $109.
Pros:
- Great factory lubed switches and stabilisers.
- Comfortable MDA profile.
- Good quality and great designed keycaps.
- Does not require software to customise.
Cons:
- Rotary encoder is not very good quality.
- No UK layout.
- All plastic build.
KitGuru says: Overall, a very good first attempt at a mechanical keyboard from Montech. The factory lubed switches and stabilisers, coupled with the gasket mounted plate and silicone dampening material result in a very comfortable and satisfying typing experience. The lack of a UK ISO layout is very disappointing for anyone in the UK who would usually consider this keyboard. Hopefully we'll see a more UK version sometime in the future.
